MEET THE TEAM

Jonjo ‘JJ’ Stickland started his career as a sailing instructor, and then moved into international yacht racing all while diving as a hobby.

A pivotal moment came in 2007, when he worked on his first film, running a classic yacht for the production of ‘Mamma Mia’. The experience cemented the direction of his career and since then, he’s worked on hundreds of films and productions, across all aspects of Marine coordination and safety.

Knowing that the right team is fundamental to the success of a project, Jonjo founded Marine Department in 2017 as a collaborative company of expert individuals. Our people have a variety of skill sets and backgrounds, ranging from special forces personnel, big wave surfers, global yacht racers to offshore divers; meaning we always have the right talent for the job.
